Anthony Tata Sharpens Critical Thinking Skills at SAMS

As a graduate of the U.S. Army’s School of Advanced Military Studies graduate school, Anthony Tata dealt with peacekeeping and peace enforcement operations in the conflicts of Bosnia, Haiti and Somalia. The Global War on Terror has called upon SAMS graduates to plan and strategize military operations. The United States Air Force’s School of Advanced Air and Space Studies and the United States Marine Corp’s School of Advanced Warfighting were created along the same lines as the SAMS goals. SAMS students like Tata worked as planners in the invasion of Iraq preparations and in post-combat occupation strategies. Regarded today as game-changers in land warfare, Army leaders prize SAMS graduates for their critical thinking skills. It has been said that the School of Advanced Military Studies is “at the forefront of the effort to remake strategic military planning for the 21st century”.

To enter the School of Advanced Military Studies, Anthony Tata took an examination, went through an interview and was assessed by a supervisor. He also completed the United States Army’s Command and General Staff School, or an equivalent education course offered through another branch of the service. The students at SAMS are largely U.S. Army field grade officers who come to their studies from combat duties. However, the Air Force, Navy and Marines, as well as the Department of State, the FBI and the Agency for International Development have successful graduates from the school. Of late, the School has been attended by students from around the world, including graduates from Norway, Republic of Macedonia and the Netherlands.

Anthony Tata Sets His Sights on West Point

Anthony Tata’s graduation from high school did not launch him into the unknown. Tata’s ambitions had aimed high for some time as the son of teachers who served their communities as educators, a school board member and as a long term representative on the Virginia General Assembly law-making body. Tata himself laid his plans early on, and was accepted upon graduation into the United States Military Academy. USMA is also referred to as West Point, Army, The Academy or simply The Point. Located in West Point, New York, this four-year federal service academy has overlooked the Hudson River since cadets were first trained in artillery and engineering in what was then a garrison in 1794. West Point was constructed as a defensive garrison post in 1778 by Polish engineer and hero Tadeusz Kosciuszko. The Hudson River Chain and the high ground above a narrow S curve in the river was an excellent position for the Continental Army to stop British ships from sailing further up the river, which would have divided the Colonies. Commander Benedict Arnold of West Point committed an act of treason by trying to sell the fort to the enemy. Arnold’s treason prompted the Army to change the garrison’s name to Fort Clinton.

Anthony Tata’s alma mater, the United States Military Academy at West Point, was idle in the years after the Revolution. It wasn’t until 1801 that the newly inaugurated President Thomas Jefferson directed the establishment of plans to establish the Military Academy at West Point, appointing the first superintendent.

Astonishing Resume of Anthony Tata

Anthony Tata holds a Bachelor of Science and Masters Degrees in both International Relations and Masters of Military Art and Science in Strategic Planning. Anthony Tata is honored alumni of both the United States Military Academy at West Point and Harvard University, as well as a distinguished 28-year veteran of the United States Army who retired with the rank of Brigadier General. Tata is a former Transportation Secretary of North Carolina and a former CEO and Superintendent of the District of Columbia Public School System and the Wake County Public School System. Today, Tata reinvents himself as a best-selling novelist with over 6 published fiction novels to his credit, as another waits in the wings for release in September of 2017. Even with such an extensive and accomplished resume of achievements and public service, Tata has launched yet another successful career. Tata is truly an impressive American figure, who was born in a fabled American state: Virginia.

Anthony Tata’s native United States birthplace of Norfolk, Virginia is officially known as the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Old Dominion nickname of Virginia derives from its unique position of being the first colonial settlement of Britain in the New World. Virginia is also known as the Mother of Presidents, distinguished for having eight United States Presidents who have called Virginia their native state. Great Britain established the first permanent New World English colony, the Colony of Virginia, in this Mid-Atlantic North American coastal region in 1607, where the Powhatan Native Americans had lived, fished and hunted for millennia. The Virginia General Assembly of this original of the 13 colonies in the New World, is the oldest continuous governmental body in North America, and is regularly ranked among the top most effective law-making bodies in the United States by the Pew Center. The economy of Virginia changed from an agricultural base to industrial in the 1970’s, and today has many facets: agriculture in the Shenandoah Valley, federal agencies in the north including the Department of Defense and the Central Intelligence Agency, and military facilities in the main seaport of the state, Hampton Roads.

Anthony Tata grew up in the idyllic climate of Virginia in the United States, where bright blue skies and the greens and blues of earth and sky owe their clarity to the interplay of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Chesapeake Bay, which nurtures the deciduous and evergreen trees which give the area its unique color palette. Bordered by Maryland, Washington, D.C., North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia and the Atlantic Ocean, Virginia was much larger before the Civil War, when the northwestern counties of the Colony seceded and formed West Virginia when Virginia joined the Confederacy. Tata lives not far from his native Virginia today, in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Anthony Tata – 10 Rules Of Writing a Novel

Anthony Tata is an accomplished writer with five published novels to his name, including Foreign and Domestic which quickly climbed the lists, becoming a best-seller. While the writing process can be entirely different for many, there are certain universal rules that apply to every writer.

1. Never celebrate your skills, let them shine through your work.

2. There is no such thing as a writer’s block, there are reasons for your procrastination, figure them out.

3. Don’t try to create a masterpiece at the first try. Instead write about anything that comes to mind.

4. Money should never be the primary reason why you write. If you love what you do and you practice it enough, you will get better at it, then money will come.

5. The first line of your novel is very important, but not just for the reader, but you as well. You have to invite your own imagination in, you have to be eager to find out how your story develops and ultimately ends.

6. Realize that it is very unlikely that you will win awards. Write to fulfill your own sense of wonder, not to become accomplished.

7. The first draft should always be looked upon as the beginning of a journey.

8. Sometimes finding the words you don’t want to use is just as important.

9. Stay away from adverbs.

10. Give it everything you got.

With at least two more books coming in the Jake Mahegan series, Anthony Tata has a goal to expand his already prominent audience.

Anthony Tata – The Crucial Role Transport Plays in Economic Development

Anthony Tata is the former Secretary of Transportation of North Carolina, and has a strong opinion about the importance of efficient transportation. During his years in the Governor’s cabinet, he led an organisation that had as many as 12.000 employees and a yearly $4.5 billion budget.

When you are responsible for the conditions of the nation’s second most prominent highway network adding up to 88.000 miles, you are confronted with the amplitude of the situation on a daily basis. But why does transportation and economy have such a strong correlation between them? The answer of course can be found between the intricate relationship of producers and consumers.

What makes economy go around is the often vulnerable transaction that allows the customers to find their product at convenient places. This is where network effect comes into the picture. When transportation is at its most efficient, it means that it can link various locations together, making the whole system better in the process.

When that system works better, economy usually isn’t far behind. The result is improved reliability which is ideal for every component of the system. Without the negative effects that insufficient transportation would cause, economic drag decreases as well. Anthony Tata spent successful years as the leader of an organization that was responsible for North Carolina’s transportation system.Making a system that includes ferry boats, airports, transit system, railroads and bicycle, as well as pedestrian routes to work effortlessly is not an easy task, but when it’s achieved, everybody will benefit from it.
